Sunsets are beautiful...
I love sunsets, when dawn turns into dusk, and there is a blur between day and night. It's that time when the manic rush of a day comes to a halt for that very few moments, and time just seems to stand still. I think this is a beautiful picture, far from the madding crowd, where peace and tranquility can be found in the midst of this urban jungle we try to plough through. The peace, the beauty of it all, it's so simple yet intriguing, it's almost surreal. It's funny how we humans seek happiness in the most cocmplex situations and amidst the dollar bills, when such happiness holds no candle to the happiness that can sometimes be found in the simplest, and most priceless things... Sometimes pausing to appreciate what is around us as opposed to wallowing in misery of what is not around us, can provide the best therapy one could need. Random thoughts...
Ok, pause the thoughts, I shall update a post and continue my rambling. This post was like before the exams, a random but fun and crazy night out with Hui, Penny & Sherry.
Cafe Iguana! After chilling there, it was decided. Clubbing. Damn it, this was my first clubbing escapade after like 3.5 years, minus the times I was shooting events at clubs.
All you avid clubbers would definitely recognise where this toilet is. Behind O Bar, yes, we ended up in O bar much to my disapproval. Bleah.
My wasted friend. Like gone, smashed. There's a reason why I'm holding her.
Sherry's half gone too, which explains what he's doing in the girls' toilet.
My most happening classmate. Hah.
This was before we hit the dancefloor. We were bored n thus amusing ourselves. O bar just makes such things happen.
No we are not lesbian, we are straight. We were dared to kiss for 5seconds and we did it. Check out the random dude behind us.
It was a crazy night, really. But I can't blog the happenings, cos we made a pact that what happened in OBar remains in Obar, so there, so much for juicy details! Bleah.
Ok, back to random thoughts. A very wise friend of mine shared this quote with me,
"Fantasy and reality can never co-exist. That's why there's always deception".
Wow, boomz, how do normal people come up with such things? Amazing, but there's a whole lot of truth in that isn't it? Binary oppositions forming the chief paradox of life, and the resolution? Deception, there you have it. That's why most of us spend half our life deluded, sadly, unknowingly deluded more often than not. My question, where do you draw the line between fantasy and reality? Is there really a strict dichotomy between the two? When reality itself becomes so questionable, then how do you define fantasy? When does reality cease to be reality and traverse into fantasy? How sure are we that what is fantasy is not reality? So where is the deception? Grey areas? That's what life essentially is isn't it, one hell of a grey area. Not meant to be as simple as black and white, not meant to be understood. A puzzle that is simply not meant to be solved. Goodnight!
